Who we are

IPCC was the idea, effort, and enthusiasm of some individuals, which created an organization, which today has taken a form of a bridge that brings two most developing and great nations together, celebrate their culture, art, friendship, their diversity, diplomatic ties and most important it work towards bringing every day the people together and bind them together with rich culture, knowledge and opportunity for a great alliance. Started in the autumn of 2001, which was just a gathering of few individuals under the guidance of the then ambassador of India H.E. MR. Narayan, to celebrate the Indian festival of lights (DIVALI), with kind support of Mr. Subhramaniam, who provided his house for the celebration, and that celebration gave the birth to the IDEA of forming a committee, which will celebrate the culture of both nations and will bring the enthusiast from both nations together. The flagship was taken forward by Mr. Umesh Nautiyal, who took that idea, and motivated few other individuals and formed INDO POLISH CULTURE COMMITTEE (IPCC), a non- profit organization with basic minimum resources and funding, they could register the organization and started celebrating the cultural events.
In next 5 years IPCC, was already registered and fully functional organization, working selflessly towards promoting Indian culture, celebrating Indian festivals. Till then with efforts and will of one-man Mr. Nautiyal, made this organization a respectable, reputable organization and a platform, where then newly formed Indian dance groups, were performing and getting a much-deserved exposure. Through his consistent effort, Mr. Nautiyal created a pioneer organization, which made a pathway for Indian culture, Indian art, Indian music and most important the awareness that was spreading, enabling Polish culture, art, music enthusiasts to try and discover something new, exotic and turn it into a professional career.

This organization basically turned into a culture envoy. The breakthrough came in 2005-2006, when the organization started its first bi-lateral effort, by hosting RYAN INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS and making them visit local institutes and schools, and hosting and organizing performances of India’s prime and popular singer ILA ARUN, all over Poland. These two efforts led the committee, to partner with many polish institutes, government organizations and led what we believe the path for the strong alliance, which helped the organization now to promote, works towards the INDO POLISH cooperation, culture alliance, and promotion of both cultures. Working on the same, in last 10 years today the organization has achieved a lot of important milestones, from organizing concerts of maestros like PANDIT BIRJU MAHARAJ, UMA SHANKAR, PADMASHRI GEETA CHANDRAN, Padam Vibhushan- Dr. Saroja Vidhyanathan and HARIPRASAD CHAURASIA and other famous Indian artists, to providing free HINDI lessons to Polish friends with the financial help of Indian Council for Cultural Relations, to helping Polish artists achieve international scholarships to attain their professional prowess and exhibiting Indian artifacts in Dabrowa Gornicza Stygartka museum and promoting Polish literature, Polish history in or conventions, and distributing the books on them to Indian expats, diplomats and diasporas. We also helped to facilitate many Indo polish institutional partnerships and alliances.

What we do

Since its inception IPCC has planned to achieve new milestones and formed a formidable plan to bring India and Poland closer, by spreading its activities, publishing journals, organizing festivals and conventions, promoting artists from both the sides of globe. IPCC have attained a lot from organizing a diverse HOLI, Diwali, HINDI DAY , publishing magazine, Books on Indian Culture and laying the base of Indian Film festival, promoting new talents in dancing, singing and art, Indian tapestry exhibition and more involvement towards a common goal in bringing “ONENESS IN DIVERSITY” We believe IPCC would be a pioneer, flagship platform which work towards bringing some great opportunities and avenues for INDO POLISH ALLIANCE, and artists, people of both nations experience and enrich their horizons.
